    Indian Forest Services exam is one among the Civil services exam. Its has some minimum educational qualification which includes Bachelor’s degree in disciplines like Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, zoology, Agriculture, Forestry, Engineering in any recognized university. The last year students of graduation also apply for the exam for preliminary examination and candidate who declared qualified by UPSC can take Mains examination.

    The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following subjects/ disciplines. 1. Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects as Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science. 2. Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects as Botany. 3. Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects as Chemistry. 4. Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects as Geology. 5. Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects as Mathematics. 6.     Educational Qualification for IFS : Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects as Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects as Botany, Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects as Chemistry. Candidates are required to have degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institute or university.

    In IFS Educational Qualification For Officer Scale II (General Banking Officer): Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.

    All candidates who are declared qualified by the Union Public Service Commission for taking the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination will be required to produce proof of passing the requisite examination with their application for the Main Examination failing which such candidates will not be admitted to the Indian Forest Service Main Examination.

    the qualification required for this post are as follows. *the candidates should be a graduate , or engineer , or any equivalent post . *The age limit is should be 22 – 30 yrs . *there is a relaxation for sc / st & obc candidates.
