    According to that, General/OBC candidates were able to attempt only 3 times for NEET examination upto the age of 25 years while SC/ST could attempt same (3 times) upto the age of 30 years.

    Three times a person can written NEET exam. According to that, General/OBC candidates upto the age of 25 years while SC/ST could attempt upto the age of 30 years.

    Previous years, there were limited attempt option for NEET examination. According to that, General/OBC candidates were able to attempt only 3 times for NEET examination upto the age of 25 years while SC/ST could attempt same (3 times) upto the age of 30 years. But, the criteria was changed from the year 2018. Now, board has removed the attempt bar for all NEET aspirants (as per the officials). There will be no upper age limit to appear for NEET examination. But the minimum age limit will remain same. According to the new changes, all General/OBC/SC/ST candidates now can attempt NEET examination any number of times.

    In previous years it was restricted that one can seat for NEET exam a maximum of three times, but from this year it is not restricted for only three years. You can seat NEET exam as many times you want. But one more important thing is that there is a restriction for age limit.

    Candidates are allowed to appear for NEET while the maximum attempts limit was set to three times. This rule was revoked by the Supreme Court in 2017. But, the criteria was changed from the year 2018. Now, board has removed the attempt bar for all NEET aspirants (as per the officials). There will be no upper age limit to appear for NEET examination. But the minimum age limit will remain same.

    Till last year NEET exam has some restriction regarding attempts of the exam but for upcoming exam there would be no limit for attempts. There is limit for age the minimum age to appear for the exam is 17 years and there is no upper age limit to appear for the exam.

    NEET 2020 number of attempts and age limit – A good amount of confusion regarding the number of attempts and age limit for NEET 2020 exists for applicants of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Since its introduction and subsequent changes, the confusion on the NEET 2020 number of attempts and age limit still exists. While there earlier was a restriction on the number of attempts for NEET and age limit, it was struck down by the court and as on date the clause is not prevalent till the court decides otherwise.
